Chanel

It’s Christmas time.

 Soon is going to be Christmas and everybody is buying gifts. All brands are trying to attract customers who sail its products. On TV we can see every day lots of different adverts of all kind of products.  These days, perfume adverts become common on television. Despite being a nuisance, there are some adverts I really like and today I’m going to talk about them.

 First I want to mention Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. I think this advert is very elegant; in my opinion the music is a very good choice (the singer is Joss Stone and the song is called L O V E, which is just an interpretation of the real song singed by Nat King Cole). In this case the model is not a real model; it is the actress Keira Knightley. I really liked the advert when I first saw it.

The second advert I want to talk about is, Chanel again, but this time I’m going to talk about Chanel Nº 5.  Once again the model is an actress; this time is Nicole Kidman the advertisement mean character. This announcement is considered by advertisers a piece of art.  In every shot appears something which is related with Chanel (Coco Chanel, the symbol of the marc…). This advert was inspired by the movie Moulin Rouge.

All this advertisements are very nice, but we have to be realistic: they just try to make us by the product. At Christmas time, everywhere we go, we can see lots of announcement about every little thing which exist, but we have to know how to manage the money.  Toy stores are the most beneficial. At this time children always want a lot of toys and parents  give to their children everything they want of course.  But not only the children have presents; older aged people want presents too, and this gifts are more expensive and more consumer than children presents. If we go to a mall these days we can see a lot of people buying play stations, computers, blackberry…  I think people have forgotten the real meaning of Christmas. Christmas time is for have the family together once again; to spend a little time with all of them. Instead of this, lots of people from the same family argue or they don’t even talk with each other, but they have their own plasma TV, or their new mobile phone…I don’t think all this material thinks make people happy, and they should appreciate more the meaning of having a family.

Friendship

Today I want to talk about friendship. Friends are very important in every step of our life. We don’t know how important are for us, until we lose them, or until we are too far from them.

When I was little I moved from Rumania to Spain. Now, I steel have a couple of very good friends, who I see every time I go to Rumania, but the thing that surprised me was that some of my class mates  steel remember me and always want to know how I am. That is a thing that makes me feel very happy. Even though we are not friends we steal talk with each other and we keep in touch.

When I came in Spain I met the girls who are my friends now. We are fourteen girls in my group. We get on very well, but sometimes we argue too. Anyway, I have to say that we are always there if one of us needs our help.

I get on very well with another three girls from my group. They are my best friends and I miss them very much. One is studying Publicity here in Castellon, but the other two are in Zaragoza. We have always been together and know I realized how important are in my life. I really miss them and I want them to come to visit me in Castellon as soon as possible. By now I will go back home for Christmas, so I will see them on holidays, but I’m sure they will come here to visit me next year  =D.

Another kind of friendship is the friendship which is growing up now here in Castellon.  This year I have met a lot of new people who is very nice. I have a lot of fun with them, and I can talk about everything with them, just like my friends from Zaragoza. When I knew I would come here to study, I wasn’t happy, because I didn’t like Castellon, but know I’m very glad of being here.

In my opinion friendship means understanding, tears, smiles…It don’t matter how far we are, we just have to call us and we will be there trying to make our friends feel better.

Travelling

Hello! My name is Claudia, I’m nineteen years old and I’m studying Translation and Interpretation in Castellon. The subject of my blog is not going to be the same, I will talk about things I think they are interesting or things they caught my attention.

I’m going to start my blog talking about travelling, because I love to visit other places, and meeting other people. Travelling makes people be more open minded, people respect more other cultures and even became more interested in customs of other countries.

In my opinion travelling is a very rewarding experience. We can see lots of interesting places and also we can meet new people. There are different types of tourism: travelling abroad or travelling in our own country; both of them are very pleasant experiences.  As I said, I like travelling a lot, and this long weekend I have been visiting Barcelona with some friends of mine from the dormitory. We flew to Barcelona with Ryanair and we slept in a friend house. We arrived late to Barcelona so we couldn’t visit anything the first day. The following day we woke up late, but we went to visit some of the most important monuments form Barcelona. First we went to eat something, we went to eat a kebab (that kebab was the spicier kebab I have ever eaten), but I have to say that I like it.  Then we went to see Sagrada Familia, but the entrance was very expensive, and we’ve only seen it out. Then we went to Las Ramblas to see Casa Batlló. Surprisingly there was a special event with vintage clothes from Custo Barcelona, and the most surprisingly thing is that the entrance was free. Outside, there was a model who gave free bugs from Custo Barcelona. After visiting this, we went to an interesting bar to drink something. The bar hadn’t had roof, the entire bar was outdoor. In that bar I drink a very good cappuccino, which made me feel comfortable because I was very cold. After that, we went back home we had dinner, and we went to a club to see Two Door Cinema Club concert. We had a lot of fun, and after the concert we’ve seen two of the components of the group carrying two loaves of bread, but we didn’t ask them for any autograph. The following day we  went to visit more places and after that we had to fly back to Valencia.

On this trip we had met very nice people, who have tried at all times to be kind with us.

I had a very good time visiting Barcelona, because it’s a city I always loved and the people who I went made it perfect.
